After School
One important purpose of the Academy is to make its soccer skills development program accessible to children living in areas of need who can’t afford to participate in them. The Academy believes in the power of soccer to get kids off the street, TV rooms and computer screens in order to give them the opportunity to stay healthy and play. For several years now, the administration at PS 107 in the Soundview area of the Bronx has shared this vision. As a result, it has been offering after school soccer as well as summer soccer camps to its students. The success of these programs has had a very positive impact on participants classroom behavior as well as academic performance.
